TreowGroup Recruitment, on behalf of our Toronto-based manufacturing client, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to cover a 12‑month Maternity Leave.

Position Overview: Are you ready to take your HR career to the next level? As the HR Generalist, you will be a key member of the team, reporting directly to the General Manager. Thriving in a dynamic, fast‑paced manufacturing environment, you excel in hands‑on employee relations, recruitment, and HR administration. This is an on‑site role. As the HR Generalist, you will enjoy:
  • Compensation of $75 - $85K, commensurate on experience.

Your Day to Day will include:
  • Leading employee relations efforts and providing HR guidance.
  • Supporting the Payroll/HR Coordinator.
  • Acting as the primary HR contact for internal and external inquiries.
  • Managing recruitment, including job postings, interviews, and job offers.
  • Overseeing onboarding and offboarding programs.
  • Maintaining accurate HR records and file management.
  • Managing WSIB claims and return‑to‑work processes.
  • Overseeing compensation, benefits, and payroll‑related HR functions.
  • Supporting and enhancing performance management initiatives.
  • Leading HR projects to improve employee engagement and workplace culture.
  • Coordinating learning and development programs.
You’ll be a great fit if you possess:
  • 3+ years of HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • A bachelor’s degree (CHRP designation is a strong asset).
  • Experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and HR best practices.
  • Experience overseeing recruitment and onboarding new candidates.
  • Familiarity with payroll is an asset.
  • Experience with HRIS (an asset) and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • A professional, confidential, and solutions‑oriented approach to HR expertise.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
