JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you detail-oriented and passionate about accuracy? Join our Human Resources team as a Human Resources Analyst, a critical role that ensures employees are paid correctly and on time. This position focuses on managing all timekeeping processes across Irving Shipbuilding, ensuring precision in hours worked, gross dollar submissions, and general ledger postings. As a key member of the HR team, you'll collaborate with Labour Relations, Production, HR Advisory, Corporate Services, and Data Management to maintain seamless operations and support our workforce.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure accurate and timely posting of weekly time and absence data.
  • Investigate and verify time records, processing corrections as needed.
  • Deliver in-depth training and timekeeping support for Production Supervisors and administrators.
  • Identify gaps and recommend improvements related to JDI, HR Core Data, and payroll systems.
  • Create regular and ad hoc reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders during audits.
  • Audit contract rules, identify risks, and communicate findings to relevant teams.
  • Maintain and develop process maps to support HR operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration or Finance.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong technical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with timekeeping systems such as Kronos, JDE, or SAP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
  • A proven track record of accuracy and precision in your work.

Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Please note this position requires a full-time, in-office presence.
