Overview

Employer: Canfor - Elko Sawmill Division, Elko, BC

Salary: $47,000.00 - $68,000.00

Responsibilities
  • Provide general HR support and lead the new employee orientation program.
  • Support the Talent Acquisition team to hire candidates across the organization.
  • Process information to support the management team with strong organizational skills and effective communication.
  • Contribute to a fast-paced team environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Assist with benefits administration and the Short-Term Disability Claims program.
  • Support job posting processes, processing hourly time records, and maintaining grievance and employee records.
  • Coordinate Employee Relations Activities, safety events, hearing tests, and United Way campaigns.
  • Provide administrative support for the division and participate in safety programs and systems.
Qualifications
  • A high school diploma with a minimum of three (3) years of human resources and/or administrative experience.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with UKG/Kronos is advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in a unionized work environment would be considered an asset.
Salary Notes

The salary range for this position is $47,600.00 - $68,000.00. This range is base salary only.
