This position can be based out of our head office in beautiful Chilliwack BC or our commercial office in Victoria BC.

The Opportunity

As an HR Partner (HRP) you will have a dedicated group of leaders and employees within your portfolio. You will work collaboratively with leaders, building trusted relationships, and providing guidance on people programs supporting our overall business strategy. You will bring your experience in day-to-day HR activities, knowledge of people programs such as employee engagement, performance management, employee relations and your overall understanding of compliance with employment laws and standards to this exciting role.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with business leaders to align HR programs with business goals.
  • Provide Human Resources support to leaders and employees while demonstrating required skills in critical thinking, influence, problem solving, program management and change management.
  • Advise managers and employees to resolve employee relations issues including coaching, researching/investigating situations and recommending business-driven, proactive, and inclusive solutions.
  • Possess current knowledge of legal trends, regulatory changes, best practices in Human Resources and employment law.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes and procedures in HRIS and People programs.
  • Share key HR data and analytics, identify opportunities for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations to enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Manage daily HRIS workflow administration, support reporting and audit reviews, and ensure people data is maintained accurately and in a timely manner.
What you will bring to our team
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in HR, with a focus on business partnering.
  • Working knowledge of all HR disciplines including performance management, resource planning, compensation, and employee engagement, and experience with Employment Standards Act and Human Rights legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build authentic and trusting relationships.
  • Employee relations experience, including conflict resolution, performance improvement, and terminations.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgement and use the utmost discretion in sensitive situations.
  • Customer service focused with the ability to communicate clearly and consistently, respond with empathy and professionalism, and manage expectations effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities and deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to identify key information and issues, interpret data, determine implications, and provide recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Workday/HRIS would be considered an asset.
Salary Expectations

The expected salary range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level. HUB International offers comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid time off benefits, eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions.
