Wage: $24.69/hr

Location: Essex. Position is 100% in-person, must have reliable transportation.

Job Description

Our customer is looking for a Contract Human Resources Generalist with a strong emphasis on full-cycle recruitment. This role will manage the end-to-end recruitment process while also providing general HR support across key functions such as onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and HR administration. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, organized, and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Full‑Cycle Recruitment (Primary Focus)
  • Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle from workforce planning and job postings to offer negotiation and onboarding
  • Draft, review, and post job descriptions across multiple platforms
  • Source candidates using job boards, social media, referrals, and other creative sourcing methods
  • Screen resumes, conduct phone and video interviews, and coordinate interview schedules
  • Facilitate interview processes and provide guidance to hiring managers on candidate selection
  • Conduct reference checks and support background check processes
  • Prepare and extend employment offers in alignment with company policies
  • Track recruitment metrics and provide regular hiring updates
HR Generalist Responsibilities
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation
  • Assist with HR policies, procedures, and compliance with employment laws and regulations
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to HR programs and policies
  • Support employee relations initiatives and performance management processes
  • Assist with benefits administration and HRIS updates as needed
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives as assigned
Qualifications

  • Proven ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously
  • Solid understanding of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Strong interviewing, communication, and relationship‑building skills
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
