Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the HR Analyst supports data-driven decision-making through reporting and analytics, manages corporate survey completion, maintains the document management system, and administers attendance management. The role acts as the super user for HR systems, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and efficient HR operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and complete HR-related surveys (e.g., OHA benchmarking, collective bargaining disclosures, workforce surveys, Statistics Canada reports)
  • Support HR leadership with ad hoc data and survey requests
  • Summarize and present survey results to HR leadership
  • Coordinate quarterly submission of the organization’s People Plan
  • Maintain HR data trackers and dashboards on metrics like turnover, vacancies, sick time, and overtime
  • Prepare monthly turnover reports for executive review
  • Manage data within Meditech, including dictionaries, hierarchies, and templates
  • Update intranet content, HR forms, and policies in Paradigm
  • Generate scheduled and ad hoc reports (e.g., allowances, staff referrals, legal requests)
  • Track employee licenses and maintain onboarding resources
  • Oversee attendance tracking, participate in sick strategy meetings, coordinate counseling and ladder program communications
  • Create attendance summaries and reports for leaders and HR partners
  • Maintain attendance manuals and serve as a contact for attendance inquiries
  • Coordinate policy reviews and updates with content owners
  • Edit and post HR policies using the DOCS system

Our Ideal Candidate Has

  • College diploma in Human Resources, Business Analytics, Data Management, or related field (required)
  • CHRP / CHRL designation or working towards it (required)
  • At least 3 years’ recent experience in a unionized healthcare environment
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, data visualization, automation)
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret and communicate data effectively
  • Experience with HRIS systems and workforce analytics; Meditech experience is a plus
  • High attention to detail, data accuracy, and process improvement
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Proactive, solutions-focused approach, able to work independently and in teams
  • Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and service excellence
