Overview

The Community Transitional Program in Walpole, MA is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as House Manager for the Mental Health Worker IV program (position #250007YA). The role provides direct care & counseling services, supervises staff, manages day‑to‑day operations of the residence, coordinates activities and oversees the implementation of medication, treatment and recreational programs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide counseling to clients, identifying needs and assisting clients to achieve rehabilitative success.
  • Coordinate day, evening and weekend activities, designing activities in accordance with treatment plans.
  • Develop and maintain client files, including assessments, treatment plans and monthly/quarterly progress notes.
  • Implement MAP policies and procedures, reviewing and communicating updates to staff.
  • Assist in crisis intervention, providing necessary interventions and documenting all actions.
  • Act as liaison to DMH, community providers and family members, scheduling meetings and maintaining open communication.
  • Provide orientation and training to staff, ensuring competence in program delivery.
  • Ensure residence supplies (food, household supplies, furnishings) are maintained and ordered as needed.
  • Collect program fees, manage house monies, bank accounts, pay bills and monitor client funds.
  • Perform any additional duties required to ensure effective operation of the program.
Qualifications
  • Pass MAP certification within six (6) months of entering the position or within three (3) exam attempts, whichever comes first, and maintain certification.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of full‑time or equivalent part‑time direct care experience with individuals with mental illness or physical disabilities.
  • At least one (1) year of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Valid driver's license appropriate for assignment.
  • Current CPR, first aid and MAP certifications required upon successful completion of training.
  • Associate’s degree in psychology, human services or related field may substitute one year of experience; Bachelor’s degree may substitute two years.
Employment Details

Work Schedule: Full‑time, Monday‑Friday 8:00 am–4:30 pm; Saturdays and Sundays off. Overtime may be required. This position requires a 40‑hour week.

Compensation
