Job Description

As the first and last point of contact for our guests, Hosts at The Rabbit Hole play a key role in setting the tone for a warm, energetic, and memorable dining experience. We're looking for friendly, organized, and confident individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

You’ll be responsible for greeting every guest with genuine hospitality, managing reservations and waitlists, and coordinating table flow to support smooth service. If you love working with people and enjoy being part of a dynamic front-of-house team, this is your chance to be part of a modern gastropub known for its elevated comfort food, craft drinks, and welcoming atmosphere.

The Day to Day:

  • Greet and seat guests in a warm, professional, and timely manner
  • Manage reservation and walk-in traffic using Open Table
  • Monitor table rotation and coordinate with Front Of House and Back Of House teams to optimize guest flow
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the host stand and entrance area
  • Answer guest inquiries and assist with special requests, wait times, or accommodations
  • Support the overall guest experience with a friendly and attentive approach
  • Assist with bussing tables and support the team by running food and beverages as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a host or in a guest-facing hospitality role is an asset
  • Valid Smart Serve Certification Required
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Calm under pressure, with a proactive and team-oriented mindset
  • Comfortable using reservation and table management systems (OpenTable), preferred
  • Available to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • A passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
