Responsibilities for Hospital Security Guard

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Provide constant observation of assigned patients to ensure safety and prevent incidents
• Maintain a calm, professional, and alert presence at all times
• Follow hospital policies and security protocols
• De-escalate situations as needed and report incidents to clinical or security staff promptly
• Accurately document observations and maintain shift logs as required
• Work collaboratively with hospital personnel, including nursing and clinical teams

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid security license
• First aid certification required
