Overview

Adecco is actively seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Support Workers to provide vital care and assistance to elderly individuals and others in need of support in their homes. This is a full-time role based in Gold River, BC, with a competitive hourly wage of $22.50 to $25.00, depending on experience.

Location and Compensation

Location: Gold River, BC

Pay Rate: $22.50–$25.00 / hour

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients in preparing for health appointments and meeting daily needs
  • Provide nutritional guidance and ensure food security (non-perishable food stocks)
  • Check home environments for safety, risk, and cleanliness
  • Support clients with mobility access and equipment
  • Promote and advise on healthy living and community involvement
  • Help plan and organize recreational and social activities
  • Collaborate with client families on planning and care
  • Attend and support client planning meetings
  • Maintain clear and organized reports and documentation
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Remain calm and compassionate in high-pressure or emergency situations
  • Respect cultural and individual differences
  • Be physically capable of lifting/moving up to 40 lbs. and navigating stairs
  • Be COVID-19 vaccinated (minimum two doses)
  • Possess a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Clear an RCMP Vulnerable Sector Check
