Responsibilities
  • Providing essential homemaking support according to the established care plan, ensuring comfort and safety for clients.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment with light housekeeping duties (washing dishes, laundry, making beds, sweeping/mopping, dusting, vacuuming, garbage removal).
  • Meal preparation and shopping for groceries and personal items as outlined in the care plan.
  • Childcare and pet care as specified in the care plan.
  • Monitoring client conditions and reporting any unusual events or changes promptly.
  • Adhering to infection prevention practices to maintain a safe environment.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed client records and documentation as required.
  • Engaging in ongoing internal and external continuing education to stay updated with best practices in home support.

Education
  • Secondary School Graduate or equivalent
  • Completion of Home Support Program / courses preferred
