Job summary

A leading mining company located in Northeastern Ontario is seeking a Health and Safety Field Coordinator. In this capacity, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and fostering a positive safety culture. The ideal candidate should hold a degree or diploma in a related discipline and possess at least five years' experience in the mining sector. Excellent administrative skills and knowledge of safety acts are essential. The position offers a 14/14 work schedule with accommodations and meals provided on-site.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in a Health and Safety related discipline.
  • 5 years' experience in health and safety role in mining sector.
  • Thorough knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships for HS.
  • Participate in HS performance monitoring and reporting.
  • Analyze workplace hazards for continuous improvement.

Skills

Degree or Diploma in a Health and Safety related discipline
5 years' experience in a health and safety role in the mining sector
Thorough knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Experience with HSE management system software
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
