The Opportunity:
The role of Health Care Aide will be serving the community of Points West Living Stettler in Stettler, Alberta. The Health Care Aide is responsible for ensuring top resident care is priority, with a high level of focus in time management.
Overview
We are seeking candidates interested in: 1-CASUAL Certified Health Care Aide 8Hr Service Time Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends.
Responsibilities
- Strong team player with exceptional leadership skills and a patient approach.
- Coordinate various business activities within the organization’s vision, objectives, and philosophy.
- Support Person Directed Care approaches and assist residents with personal care as authorized by the Homecare Nurse.
- Provide medication assistance to residents according to current Well-Being Strategies.
- Strive for excellence in resident, family member, and employee care partner satisfaction.
- Maintain a friendly demeanor with respect and care for all persons.
- Support residents’ lifestyle in a community environment in accordance with individualized care plans.
- Knowledge of supportive living services, assessment, and care planning.
- Maintain ongoing compliance with applicable provincial and federal regulatory standards.
- Demonstrate strong relationship building with residents, family members, internal and external care partners to ensure the vibrancy of the community.
- Be flexible, willing to prioritize and re-adjust routines, and open to change for the benefit of the community.
- Show strong organizational, communication, and time and resource management skills.
- Exhibit problem solving and conflict resolution skills; deal effectively with difficult or crisis situations.
- Ongoing monitoring and continuous quality improvement.
- Initiative in accident and injury prevention and adherence to health and safety practices within the community.
- Participate in ongoing educational programs.
- Complete general light housekeeping, laundry and dining room duties as directed.
- Maintain and adhere to confidentiality, professionalism of the community, and accountability of all care partners.
Foundational knowledge and experience to grow from
- Must be a graduate of a recognized Health Care Aide program and registered in the Alberta HCA Directory.
- Must hold valid First Aid and CPR certification.
- Obtain prior to employment a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector check.
