Job summary

A leading fast-food restaurant chain located in Montérégie is seeking a versatile General Laborer / Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and repairs at multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have strong construction and problem-solving skills, as well as experience with power tools. Responsibilites include maintenance on buildings and equipment, and assisting with carpentry and other tasks. This position offers part-time hours with the possibility of full-time work.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in a similar role (general laborer, maintenance technician).
• Experience with power tools and hand tools.
• Ability to work at heights.

Overview

Job summary

We are looking for a versatile individual to join our team as a General Laborer / Maintenance Technician. You will be responsible for performing a wide range of tasks to maintain and repair various aspects of our facilities, equipment and systems at our 9 McDonald's Gestion Audrey Bernard Inc restaurants located on Montreal's South Shore. If you're handy with tools, enjoy solving problems and can work independently, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment and machinery
• Assist with carpentry, painting and other general construction tasks
• Perform minor renovations and installations as required
• Perform regular inspections to identify potential problems and prevent malfunctions
• Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure smooth operations
• Keep up to date with new technologies and techniques to stay ahead of the game
• Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, air conditioning and other systems (asset)

Required

• At least 2 years' experience in a similar role (general laborer, maintenance technician, etc.)
• Strong construction and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work at heights and lift heavy loads
• Experience with power tools and hand tools (e.g. bill press, circular saw, hammer)
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical and air-conditioning systems (an asset)
• Ability to travel easily to our 9 restaurants on Montreal's South Shore.

Assets

• Experience in carpentry, welding or other specialized trades
• Certifications in construction or first aid.
• Familiarity with building codes and regulations
• Own a car

Schedule

• Part-time, possibility of full-time.
• Monday to Sunday

Salary

• 25$/h
