Job Title:Grooming Supervisor

Location:North Vancouver, BC

Department:Mountain Operations

Reports to:Duty Manager

Role Status:Full Time / Seasonal / Hourly (Start date approx. November 2025)

Job Summary

As a Grooming Supervisor, you are responsible for the safe operation of the grooming machine as well as the daily operation of the Grouse Mountain downhill runs, terrain parks, road ways, lift ramps, snowshoe trails, sleigh route and other staging areas. Additionally, under direct supervision from the Mountain Operations Duty Managers, you will be responsible for scheduling the grooming team and adjusting schedules to accommodate snow and operational conditions. The Grooming Supervisor will also assist with special event preparation and work closely with the Snowmaking department to maintain proper snowpack around the hill.

Essential Job Functions

  • Assisting with assigning daily duties and organizing work flow
  • Assisting in training and ongoing coaching of grooming team members
  • Ensure grooming quality provides an excellent experience for guests
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained and operated according to company standards
  • Keep workspace clean and organized
  • Free Grooming of downhill runs
  • Assisting with grooming and maintaining of four Terrain Parks
  • Road building
  • Maintaining Lift Ramps
  • Staging and crowd control area building and maintenance
  • Snow removal around all buildings and areas
  • Grooming snowshoe trails
  • Filling out maintenance and operational logs
  • Regular Cleaning and some maintenance of snow cats
  • Special event preparation: i.e. races, snowboard events, snow sculptures etc.
  • Maintaining sleigh route
  • Working closely with snowmaking department to maintain proper snowpack on our runs
  • All other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position provides direct supervision to the grooming team.

Required Qualifications and Abilities

  • 2+ years grooming experience preferred
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Avid snowboarder or skier
  • Winch Cat experience preferred
  • Previous snowmaking experience an asset
  • Experience operating heavy duty machinery an asset
  • Must be able to work unsupervised and co-operate with others
  • Must be dependable and able to work in adverse environmental conditions

Working Conditions

Groomers perform some of their duties outdoors and may work in all different kinds of weather conditions. Hours of Operation are weather dependant. Due to the nature of the business, this position requires flexibility in terms of your work schedule. A variety of work schedules may include a variety of start times, including shifts on weekends and statutory holidays. Shifts require standing for long periods of time, lifting, twisting, and other forms of manual tasks.

Compensation and Benefits

$30.75 to $35.97/hour
