Job summary

A local government health service in Timmins seeks a Part-time Clinical Educator to support and mentor clinical staff and develop educational programs. The successful candidate will conduct training sessions for new procedures and oversee continuing education compliance, ensuring high standards in geriatric and long-term care. This role requires a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, current RN registration, and at least three years of relevant experience. Strong communication skills and bilingualism are assets.

Qualifications

  • Current RN registration in good standing.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Geriatric and Long-Term Care.
  • C.P.R and First Aid Certificate required.
  • Experience working as a clinical educator or nurse consultant considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support and mentor clinical staff with evidence-based care.
  • Assist in developing educational programs for clinical staff.
  • Facilitate training sessions on new procedures for clinical staff.
  • Conduct orientation for new hires on policies and clinical practices.
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to meet resident needs.
