Overview

General Maintenance Attendant — Rate of Pay: $19.00 per hour. This job is located in Kananaskis, AB. Subsidized staff housing is available.

The Role

The Engineering Department’s team maintains the hotel. You are responsible for repairing and maintaining the hotel’s physical structure in accordance with Kananaskis Mountain Lodge standards for quality, cleanliness, guest satisfaction, safety, and a positive guest experience.

As a Maintenance Attendant, the right candidate will have expertise in multiple types of home/hotel repair, maintenance and remodeling. You must have basic construction skills, be organized, and communicate effectively with others with a positive attitude.

  • Respond to guest room calls
  • Minor drywall repairs and painting
  • Changing light bulbs
  • Minor plumbing and repairs
  • Minor electrical repairs
  • Troubleshooting TV issues
  • Troubleshooting guest door lock issues
  • Routine rounds of mechanical rooms and equipment
  • Other duties as required
Employment Experience and Educational Requirements

You will be considered for this role if you have all of the following experience:

  • General carpentry (rough and finish)
  • Painting interior and exterior, drywall repair (patching and caulking)
  • Minor plumbing and minor electrical knowledge
  • Flooring repair and installation, handyman, general home repairs and maintenance work
  • Strong attention to detail
