Job description Our Burlington office is seeking experienced Mitigation Technicians.

Our offices provide disaster restoration expertise and quality customer service following unfortunate events.

The Position

We are looking for a full-time experienced Mitigation Technician who will be responsible for all aspects of mitigating losses and returning affected properties to pre-loss condition.

This involves physical work, which would include but are not limited to carrying equipment and construction debris. You must be willing to work in dirty environments, where sewage and mould may be present.

Responsibilities
  • Responding quickly to emergencies such as water, fire, and smoke damage.
  • ServiceMaster pays for IICRC training during business hours.
  • Maintain company equipment.
  • Inspect mitigation project sites to ensure quality controls are met.
  • Prepare contents for inspection by insured\'s and adjusters.
  • Ensure all mitigation and drying equipment is being utilized to full potential.
  • Maintain company vehicles (includes inspections, maintenance and cleanliness).
  • Ensure supplies and chemicals are properly stocked.
  • Carry out duties as part of the response team in disaster restoration scenarios.
Qualifications
  • Possess a valid Class G Ontario Driver\'s license with no restrictions. Able to operate a company-owned vehicle.
  • Able to take part in on-call rotating schedule. Able to work after hours and on holidays when necessary.
  • Able to respond / mobilize to remote locations if necessary during catastrophe events, possibility of 3-4 weeks duration.
  • Willing to submit personal information for a criminal background check.
  • You must have at a minimum IICRC WRT certification.
Physical Requirements

This position requires a high level of physical exertion. Moderate intensity of sensory effort is required. Working Conditions Possible risk of exposure to adverse working conditions (ie, mold / asbestos / sewage / trauma / confined space).
