Join our growing WordPress practice at Evolving Web, a team of designers, developers, and technologists specializing in WordPress and Drupal. This position requires 5+ years of WordPress experience, ideal for detail-oriented developers looking to expand their expertise.

We welcome applications from candidates planning to immigrate to Canada. We actively sponsor visas and assist with relocation to Montreal.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers, designers, and project managers
• Develop custom WordPress plugins and themes, and configure websites
• Select, debug, and maintain WordPress plugins
• Create comprehensive documentation
• Utilize DevOps tools like Docker
• Contribute to the open-source community

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of WordPress experience
• Proficiency in creating themes and plugins adhering to best practices
• Experience with modern WordPress sites, including the block editor
• Familiarity with team workflows and development standards
• Experience with Linux command line and Git
• Knowledge of Gutenberg and Elementor development
• Understanding of software development practices
• Proficiency in PHP, SASS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript
• Experience with project management tools like Redmine or JIRA
• Strong communication skills in English
