  • Clean and sanitize production areas and machinery.

Job Title: Food Production Worker
Location: Amherst, NS
Shifts: Monday to Friday, (can include overnights)
Pay Rate: $18. 65 / hr

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean machine deck, free from residual product (seeds, foreign materials).
  • Accurately record bag lot numbers on the wrapper sheet.
  • Weigh and mix ingredients accurately- use recipes to prepare dough for breads, rolls, pastries.
  • Shape, proof, and bake products using industrial equipment, monitoring temperature and timing.
  • Inspect finished goods and record batch details (ingredient use, weights, times).
  • Clean and sanitize production areas and machinery per food safety standards.
  • Assist with ingredient inventory, restocking, and supply orders.
  • Utilize the recode log to ensure complete product traceability.
  • Ensure trays are free of foreign material and contamination.
  • Perform routine checks on the metal detector to confirm proper operation.
  • Monitor product quality to prevent crushing.
  • Inspect for any signs of contamination and promptly report concerns to the supervisor.
