About the Opportunity
  • Cost Optimization: Analyze cloud usage and spending patterns to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities, including rightsizing, reservations, and eliminating waste.
  • Data Engineering: Build and maintain ETL pipelines using Python to collect, transform, and aggregate cost and usage data from multiple sources.
  • Dashboarding & Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards that provide actionable insights into cloud spend, usage trends, and optimization opportunities.
  • Workflow Management: Contribute to backlog planning and delivery, providing technical expertise to support product and operational priorities.
  • Automation: Automate routine FinOps tasks such as tagging enforcement, anomaly detection, and cost allocations.
  • Collaboration: Partner with engineering, finance, and procurement teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and chargeback processes.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain clear documentation for FinOps processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Education: Advocate for FinOps best practices across the organization, helping teams understand the financial impact of their cloud usage.
  • Governance & Compliance: Support governance and policy enforcement to ensure cloud resources remain compliant with organizational standards.
About You
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Finance, or a related field. Certifications such as FinOps Certified Practitioner or cloud platform certifications are a plus.
  • Experience: 2+ years in cloud engineering, DevOps, cloud financial management, or similar roles, with hands-on experience in cloud platforms.
  • Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of cloud services, billing, and cost management. Proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and scripting. Experience building dashboards and reports using visualization tools. Familiarity with workflow and backlog management systems.
  • Core Competencies: Solid understanding of cloud cost optimization strategies and tools. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Additional Skills: Experience with data engineering tools such as Data Factory, Databricks, or Parquet is an asset.
Pay Range

$87.58 - $97.58/hr
