Job summary

A regional educational institution is seeking a part-time Fine Arts Instructor to teach the First Nations Art Design course. The ideal candidate should have a Master's degree in Fine Arts or a related field and knowledge of Indigenous cultures. Teaching experience in a post-secondary setting is preferred. Job Summary: The College of New Caledonia requires a part-time instructor to teach the First Nations Art Design course in the Fine Arts Certificate program.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Working towards, or a Master’s degree in Fine Arts or another relevant field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Indigenous cultures, Indigenous arts and demonstrated engagement with communities.
  • Recent teaching experience in a post-secondary environment would be an asset.
  • This position requires a person of Aboriginal ancestry who also meets all other necessary qualifications.

Hiring criteria shall include professional qualifications, professional experience, teaching experience, college contributions, community awareness and personal attributes as applicable to the job classification.

Salary $92.22 - $102.20 Commensurates with qualifications and relevant experience.
