Position Overview

Vantage is looking for a hands‑on, resourceful and detail‑oriented Financial Analyst to join its Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This role is based in Montreal (Pointe Claire / Saint‑Laurent) or Saint‑Bruno, QC and requires 3 days on site and 2 days flexible. In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner to budget owners across multiple data center campuses throughout Canada and the United States. This individual will also be instrumental in developing and maintaining dashboards and financial models using Power BI, Power Query and Excel to enhance internal process and financial reporting. Alongside enhancing business agility through the deployment of new financial models, the analyst will play a key role in supporting budgeting and monthly forecasting activities.

Essential Job Functions & Duties
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards used regularly to steer operations.
  • Develop financial models and budgets for new business concepts and resulting financial impact to help drive data‑driven decision making.
  • Assist in month‑end, quarterly, annual operating financial planning and financial reporting to various stakeholders working cross‑functionally with business finance, accounting, and operations teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardization of processes, implement best practices and deliver automation throughout month‑end close and financial planning cycles.
  • Analyze complex financial data and provide accurate and timely reports to key stakeholders, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
  • Support the month‑end close process and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Assist in developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Deliver detailed variance analysis, identify risks and opportunities, and communicate results to senior leadership to influence tactical and strategic business decisions.
  • Work with multiple datasets and transform them into insights and information.
  • Participate in finance initiatives, including process improvements, ad‑hoc analyses, and periodic reporting.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance.
  • Excellent financial/business modeling and analysis skills. Moderate to advanced knowledge of Power BI, Power Query, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Yardi Voyager (preferred but not required).
  • Demonstrated experience in labor forecasting and workforce planning.
  • Proven ability to handle and analyze highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • Ability to simplify, generate actionable business insights from complex datasets, rationalize and forecast business implications, and develop recommendations/business cases.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders to ensure business needs and goals are met.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, comfortable working with ambiguity and change.
  • Self‑motivated, able to work through multiple competing priorities.

Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role, which involves interactions with counterparts in the same department and stakeholders in the United States.
