Qualifications

The Role

As Financial Analyst you will be a key member of our team supporting our Finance Treasury and Investor Relations this role you provide critical analytical support and assist with quarter-end deliverables. You will also get involved with driving special projects and initiatives all while interfacing with various internal teams and external auditors.

What You Will Do

Treasury:

  • Assist in daily cash management and other treasury functions.
  • Monitor corporate bank accounts including the opening and closing bank accounts.
  • Prepare and process wires and code invoices.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly reporting deliverables related to Treasury.
  • Prepare loan renewal notices by coordinating signatures internally and delivering to external parties.

Financing:

  • Support the Financing process including equity mortgages unsecured debentures credit facilities etc.
  • Coordinate and liaise with various teams such as Accounting and Legal on administrative financing matters and ownership structures.
  • Prepare timeline with respect to quarterly month end tasks.

Investor Relations:

  • Create Investor Relations presentations and assist in updating slides on a quarterly basis.
  • Update and maintain the investor database while monitor and track changes to company units and unitholders.
  • Complete retail REIT peer research for industry comparison.
  • Participate in other project and take on other duties as needed.
What You Bring
  • One (1) to three (3) years of related experience preferably within a public company.
  • Undergraduate degree in Commerce Business Finance or Accounting; working towards a designation (CPA CFA or equivalent) as an asset.
  • Commercial real estate industry knowledge and exposure is a bonus.

  • You have an analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and troubleshoot errors; you are open-minded and can consider new ways of looking at information.
  • Adept with IT tools and well-equipped spreadsheet knowledge with the ability to design and implement well-thought-out analytical models.
  • Outstanding time management and organizational capabilities to coordinate multiple competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate across all levels within and outside the organization.
  • A team-player; you are willing to step in and lend a hand as needed and identify the opportunities to do so.
