Overview

Our client, a leader in the marketing industry, is looking for a Financial Analyst to join their team. This role reports to the Controller.

Responsibilities
  • Opening Job numbers in the accounting system
  • Reviewing and Analyzing project costing on a weekly basis and reporting as required
  • Data mining and analytics
  • Ensuring contracts are signed and maintaining contracts
  • Creating deposit invoices
  • Monitoring Project scope
  • Tracking and accounting for all project costs and creating associated reports
  • Maintenance and reporting on Job Cost System
  • Month End Close on Job Cost System
  • Preparation of Cost Accruals
  • Preparation of monthly job costing report
  • Journal Entry Preparation
  • Time Sheet Review and Posting
  • Creating project invoices on a timely basis and monitoring and tracking all billing and collections on projects
  • Assistance with Accounts Receivable including invoice follow-up and liaison with clients for prompt payment
  • Support and leadership to a variety of other accounting client and finance functions
Qualifications
  • Pursuing CPA designation
  • University business degree
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in project accounting, cost accounting and financial analysis
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft office programs and applications - with advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics SL Solomon is preferred
  • Familiarity with large scale environmental and projects
  • Superior organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Demonstrated ability to interact professionally and effectively with executives, employees, and internal teams and clients
