The ideal candidate must have a CPA designation and over 5 years of relevant experience, specifically in multi-currency consolidations. SWIM is looking for a new Finance Manager on behalf of our great client. This role has an emphasis on global consolidations and will appeal to someone who thrives on the complexity and challenges of consolidating financial data from a variety of sources. The Finance Manager will also support mergers & acquisition accounting and will act as a key liaison with external auditors from Big 4 firms. SWIM will provide qualified and interested candidates with a full job description.
The new Manager will be using a sophisticated financial system (a top-tier ERP) as well as Excel and a consolidation tool. Working on a core global team of 8, and a broader North American accounting & finance team of 70+ people. There is good opportunity for long-term career growth over the years!
Candidates will have 5+ years of relevant accounting and financial reporting work experience, including at least a couple years specializing in multi-currency consolidations (including working with sub-consolidations and elimination entries). CPA designation is required. Experience working in a publicly listed company is highly preferred, but not necessarily required if someone has worked for a large and multi-national private company with rigorous internal controls. Exposure to M&A accounting (particularly post-acquisition integration from an accounting perspective) is an asset.
Working from the downtown Vancouver office, very accessible by rapid transit. Full-time in-office during the first month or so of training. After that, the Manager can work from home 1, , or even 3 days a week (i.e. 2 mandatory from‑office days).
Robust total compensation package- base salary commensurate with education and experience, in the range of $100,000 to $125,000 plus a performance-based bonus, full CPA support, an RRSP match, excellent benefits, and other employee perks. Please discuss with SWIM.
