Finance Manager

WellFort Community Health Services is seeking to hire a Manager of Finance. This is a full-time, permanent position with a hybrid work schedule, 3 days in-office at our Brampton location.

Purpose

The Manager of Finance will lead the Finance Team, overseeing financial operations and reporting to support WellFort's mission and stakeholder obligations. Responsibilities include financial analysis, advising the CEO and management on financial planning, improving financial procedures, and leading the finance department's daily activities to ensure accurate reporting and budget planning. The role involves participating in leadership to align with organizational values and managing financial health and risk.

Responsibilities
  • Lead daily financial operations, including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, reporting, and reconciliation.
  • Act as liaison between the Finance team and leadership to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure regular financial and statistical reporting to funding bodies, adhering to policies and preparing funder reports.
  • Manage enterprise risk monitoring and planning.
  • Operationalize strategic goals and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other functions to align operational goals and implement data and technology solutions.
  • Drive transition to electronic payment methods and improve financial reconciliation practices.
  • Develop and enhance reporting processes for real-time, user-friendly information.
  • Oversee finance controls, procedures, and systems.
  • Communicate financial changes and deadlines within the organization.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators for the finance team.
  • Lead budget planning, review budgets and variances with leadership monthly.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and maintain financial records.
