About the Role

The Field Technician supports the installation, maintenance, and monitoring of all product lines to ensure exceptional data quality and system reliability. This role is ideal for individuals looking to build hands‑on technical skills through guided learning alongside senior team members. The Field Technician plays an essential role in daily operations by assisting with equipment deployment, troubleshooting, data collection, and preventive maintenance all while following established safety and operational standards. The candidate works out of our Didsbury shop while going on client's sites in North America.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist with the installation, removal, and maintenance of equipment in field environments.
  • Support senior team members in troubleshooting and maintaining field hardware, sensors, power systems, and communication networks.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment.
  • Follow established procedures for data collection, documentation, and proper handling of equipment.
  • Provide technical support for internal teams and external third‑party partners as needed.
  • Participate in safety meetings and comply with all field safety.
  • Offer feedback and observations to support operational improvements and efficiency initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Certifications & Licenses
  • CDL is considered an asset.
  • Experience
  • Basic understanding of seismic monitoring technologies and data acquisition systems.
  • Familiarity with fundamental data analysis concepts.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new software applications.
  • Electronics and software troubleshooting skills.

  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, including photovoltaic, single‑phase, two‑phase, and three‑phase power.
  • Experience with Ethernet‑based communication and networking.
