Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Field Services Manager to join a leading organisation, where your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring the seamless delivery of site surveys, infrastructure deployment, warehouse operations, and ongoing maintenance. What you'll do

You will be entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring that all aspects of field operations run smoothly—from the initial site survey through to infrastructure deployment, warehouse assistance, ongoing maintenance activities, and quality assurance. Your day-to-day will involve close collaboration with contractors for installations; hands-on supervision of field staff; meticulous planning around preventive maintenance; conducting regular toolbox meetings; distributing work orders; performing quality checks; arranging resources; managing emergency responses; promoting health and safety best practices; maintaining accurate records; championing process improvements; fostering an inclusive team environment; supporting recruitment efforts; delivering training sessions; monitoring productivity targets; ensuring vehicles are maintained properly; submitting required paperwork promptly; upholding company policies; adapting flexibly to changing duties as needed—all while keeping customer satisfaction at the forefront. Your ability to connect with people across different functions will be essential as you nurture talent within your team while driving operational excellence throughout every project phase.

  • Play a key role in overseeing field operations, from site surveys to maintenance activities, ensuring all work is delivered safely and efficiently to the highest quality standards.
  • Lead, support, and develop a dedicated team of field staff and warehouse operatives through effective training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Collaborate closely with contractors, internal teams, and stakeholders to coordinate resources, resolve issues promptly, and meet project deadlines while promoting an inclusive workplace culture.
What you bring

To excel as Field Services Manager you will bring substantial experience overseeing teams engaged in field operations—ideally within sectors such as media, tech, FMCG, infrastructure deployment or facilities management—where your interpersonal skills have enabled you to build trust quickly among diverse groups. Your background should include exposure to warehouse logistics or site supervision coupled with familiarity around compliance frameworks governing health & safety protocols.

  • Proven experience managing field-based teams within an operational or technical services environment where you have demonstrated your ability to motivate others towards shared goals.
  • Full driving licence is essential for travel between sites as required by operational needs.
  • Intermediate computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook for reporting purposes.
  • Experience delivering toolbox talks alongside on-the-job training sessions designed to upskill new recruits or existing staff members.
  • A positive attitude combined with a proactive approach towards problem-solving—always looking for ways to improve processes or enhance service delivery outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills enabling you to interact considerately with colleagues at all levels as well as external partners or contractors involved in projects.
  • Strong organisational abilities allowing you to manage schedules effectively while balancing multiple priorities simultaneously without compromising on attention to detail.
  • Commitment to upholding health & safety standards (WHSEQ) throughout all areas of responsibility—ensuring hazards are identified early & incidents reported appropriately per company procedures.
  • Hands-on approach—willingness to get involved directly when needed & support your team through busy periods or challenging situations alike.
  • Desirable: Forklift licence; Work at height certification; First aid certification—all advantageous but not mandatory.
