Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a rural Family Practice Physician in Williams Lake, B.C. We invite you to practice rural family medicine in our new Primary Care Hub (“PCH”) opening soon. The PCH will also house a multi-disciplinary team of Allied Health Resources including Mental Health Substance Use Clinician, Dietitian, Respiratory Therapist, Clinical Pharmacist, Occupational Therapist, and Registered Nurse.
In addition to your clinical work, there are numerous opportunities to build the practice of your dreams, which could include maternity, long-term care, oncology, palliative care, ER, and other areas of interest. The team support from local surgeons, obstetricians, pediatrician, internist, and psychiatrist is outstanding.
You can end your workday by grabbing sushi or Indian take-out and heading out with your kayak or paddleboard to enjoy one of the nearby lakes. The region is exquisitely beautiful and widely diverse. You can visit galleries, unique shops, and eateries, enjoy the Stampede, and explore endless outdoor activities available year-round.
Countless lakes offer boating and swimming, along with many fishing opportunities for anglers, trollers, and fly-fishers. Well-maintained biking trails are one of the Caribou’s hidden treasures. Walking, hiking, and birdwatching along these trails are popular summer activities. Aurora watching and photography are unparalleled in winter, and the hundreds of miles of trails provide excellent winter opportunities for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling.
