Project-based, Full-Time

Job Description

Creates setups, models, and animates assigned character external features such as hair, fur, and cloth to meet art direction. Responsible for meeting productivity and quota targets. Capable of creating character simulations for various features and may have specialized skills in areas like hair or cloth. Participates in scripting and software development to streamline simulation processes. Ensures schedules and deadlines are met, participates in dailies, rounds, and team reviews. Collaborates with production, supervisors, and peers to solve problems and share information. Follows through on shot turnovers, notes, and feedback. Works effectively both independently and as part of a team to develop design solutions.

Qualifications
  • Deep knowledge of relevant software including Maya, Linux, UNIX.
  • Scripting ability in MEL, Perl, Python (highly desirable).
  • Minimum of 3+ years of progressively complex related experience.
Compensation

The anticipated base salary for this position is $45.34 to $65.10/hr. Benefits include healthcare, tuition reimbursement, RRSPs, sick and vacation leave, and standard increases. Actual salary depends on qualifications, experience, education, certifications, and location.
