Overview

Our client is seeking a talented and passionate Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations of an establishment renowned for its warm hospitality and refined cuisine. The successful candidate will play a central role in designing creative, seasonal menus, managing the kitchen team, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and profitability. This person will be an inspiring leader who can motivate their team and work closely with management to ensure the ongoing success and growth of the establishment.

Responsibilities
  • Represent the establishment and ensure consistent compliance with quality and presentation standards.
  • Oversee all daily kitchen operations.
  • Develop and plan seasonal menus (breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquets).
  • Maintain a 33% food cost ratio and optimize labor cost management.
  • Ensure consistency and excellence in dish preparation and service (including corporate events).
  • Handle purchasing, manage monthly inventories, and negotiate pricing with suppliers.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff.
  • Prepare work schedules.
  • Oversee and support the smooth execution of corporate events (menus, snacks, logistics).
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards as required by MAPAQ.
  • Maintain a respectful, collaborative, and professional work environment within the kitchen team and with other departments.
  • Collaborate closely with management to ensure the overall profitability of Bistro West Brome.
Qualifications
  • Significant professional experience as an Executive Chef.
  • Diploma from a recognized culinary or hospitality school.
  • Food safety and hygiene certification (MAPAQ or equivalent).
  • Strong skills in kitchen team leadership and operational management.
  • Excellent mastery of culinary techniques and strong creativity.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written).

Conditions and Benefits

  • Main schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. (flexibility required).
