Key Information :

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an excavator operator or equivalent.
  • Must be able to operate and maintain heavy equipment.
  • Hours: Project dependent
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends on various schedules.
  • Hourly rate is dependent on experience.

Job Description
  • Operate heavy equipment, clean and lubricate equipment, and refill equipment tanks.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment; secure special attachments to equipment.
  • Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment; perform minor repairs to equipment.
  • Execute high-volume production.
  • Fine grading and finishing.
  • When required, assist other operators, laborers, and trades.
  • Perform daily safety and maintenance checks for equipment.
Experience and Certification Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an excavator operator or equivalent is required.
  • CSTS-09, WHMIS 2015, and Ground Disturbance Level 2 are required.
  • You have the ability to quickly identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes, and produce workable solutions; work positively within a team to achieve a common goal.
  • A reliable means of transportation is required.
  • Proficient English language skills required.

Education

Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
