Qualifications

• Registration with the Ontario professional college or eligibility to obtain.
• Minimum one year of experience managing clinical staff in a hospital setting.
• Education in mentoring clinical unionized staff preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a resource for interprofessional team regarding policies and procedures.
• Ensures standards of care follow the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Addresses complaints from patients/clients and families.
• Acts as Officer-In-Charge during evenings and weekends.
• Participates in incident analysis and complaint investigations.
• Manages emergency situations based on established policies.

Skills

Current and unrestricted registration with the Ontario professional college

Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred

Experience managing clinical staff

Education and experience in mentoring clinical unionized staff
