Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and motivatedEstimatorto join our growing team. This role is key to ensuring the success of our builds and installations by providing accurate and timely cost estimates for materials, labour, and services.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for RTM homes, custom projects, renovations, and hardware installation services
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments to gather project information
• Create material take-offs and labour estimates for customer quotes and internal planning
• Assist the sales team with quote preparation and revisions as needed
• Track project costs and budgets to ensure alignment with estimates
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of materials, labour rates, and market trends
• Work closely with the project management and installation teams to ensure smooth execution

Qualifications:

• Experience as an Estimator in construction, building supply, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of construction, building materials, and installation practices (RTM construction experience considered an asset)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Proficiency with estimating software and tools
• Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• Experience in a hardware store or retail building supply environment is an asset
