Job description

Millennium EMS Solutions Ltd. (MEMS) is looking for a Remediation Lead to take part in our Brownfield Assessment & Development team supporting remediation projects for our clients across Western Canada.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning, organizing and executing or overseeing remediation projects, including accurate cost tracking of expenses and contractors.
  • Proposal preparation including assessing project requirements and client needs, scope definition and risk assessment of the project, and development of an appropriate execution plan.
  • Developing work plans and costs estimates for remediation projects for commercial / industrial and upstream oil and gas clients. The development of these work plans must integrate site specific risk-based solutions, where required.
  • Coordinating and working with staff and contractors to implement remediation projects;
  • Provide senior review and professional sign off on remediation reports
  • Be a mentor for more junior staff and willing to train others in remediation work scopes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Eligibility for membership in a professional organization such as AIA, ASPB, or APEGA/EGBC.
  • A minimum of 5 years of directly related experience in executing and managing site assessments and remediation, focusing on the oil and gas industry would be an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience with relevant provincial and federal legislation and familiarity with the environmental site assessment process would be an asset.
  • Clear effective communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Excellent safety attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting and independently.
  • A valid, non-GDL Class 5 Drivers license.
  • You must be able to meet the requirements of site access as dictated by our clients, which may include pre-access drug and fitness testing.

  • BC - $60,000 - $112,000

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
