Overview – Opportunity

CDM Smith currently has an exciting opportunity for a Project / Process Engineer in our growing Markham, Ontario office. In that position, you will work closely with our project delivery and client service / business development team members to deliver projects and contribute to the sales growth of the Ontario business, focused on water and wastewater treatment, pumping and biosolids facilities.

As a member of the Vaughan office team, you will contribute to CDM Smith\'s mission by serving as project engineer, process engineer and / or task lead for water and wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities
  • Serving as project engineer on water and wastewater projects in the GTA and other municipalities in Ontario, responsible for investigations, operational troubleshooting, analysis, process engineering design, technology assessment, and leading preparation of technical memoranda and reports.
  • Serving as process engineer to contribute to process and / or process mechanical and / or hydraulic design and supporting construction of water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Collaborating with the Ontario Client Service Leader and corporate sales and marketing team members to provide input into proposal scope and budget preparation and liaising with clients to promote business development, reputation and relationships with municipal clients for water sector work in the GTA and Ontario.
  • Participating in professional societies relevant to the industry.
  • Collaborating with multi-discipline team members to gather, consolidate and coordinate technical information to support projects and proposals.
  • Supervising, providing technical guidance to, and mentoring of engineering and technical staff to enhance our water services capabilities in Ontario.
  • Providing project technical support for projects in Ontario or for other CDM Smith offices in North America.
  • Building and maintaining positive working relationships with key clients.
