Responsibilities

• JSI Telecom requires that you pass a Police Information Check (PIC)
• It is a condition of employment that you must be successful in obtaining and maintaining up to a Secret security clearance through the Company's sponsorship.
• Candidates must not be subject to the Government of Canada OCV (Out-of-country verification) process to obtain security clearances. Typically, this means that at the time of application all candidates for co-op terms must not have left Canada for more than 6 consecutive months in the past 10 years. The government of Canada OCV requirements are subject to change without notice.
• Engaging in discussions and proof-of-concepts regarding tracking the implementation of Agile process improvements
• Extending and expanding PowerBI-based reporting infrastructure for stakeholders such as individual teams through to executives
• Customizing and updating reporting to address changes in team structure and improving the quality of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Exploring automation in scripting languages including Go, VBA, Powershell and more
• Assisting the Technical Program Manager in exploring the visualization of exploratory data, such as security initiatives, pipeline metrics, change impact and more
• Organizing content for non-technical staff prior to large-scale meetings and demonstrations

Qualifications

Technical Skill Set :

• Experience with pre-processing, exploring and visualizing data via Excel with VBA, a BI tool, Python or R
• Experience creating widget-based infrastructure for business intelligence platforms (Microsoft PowerBI would be ideal)
• Experience working within an Agile software organization (Scrum or Kanban)
• Exposure to an Issue Management Tracking system (JIRA, Azure DevOps, other) and development pipelines (Azure Pipelines, BitBucket, GitHub Actions, other)
