Position Summary

Amkor is seeking a forward-thinking Engineer to join our GenAI team at our Tempe, AZ Corporate Office. This role will be responsible for architecting and managing AI-powered agents, orchestrating cross-platform automation workflows, and delivering actionable insights through data analysis. The ideal candidate will be passionate about modernizing processes through scalable and intelligent technologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and manage AI agents and automation agents (bots) to streamline global operations.
  • Develop and maintain integrated automation workflows across various systems, planning tools, and data platforms.
  • Partner with global teams to identify automation opportunities and translate business needs into technical solutions using Generative AI and Machine Learning.
  • Implement best practices and policies and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of processes enhanced by AI and automation.
  • Monitor and optimize agent performance, ensuring reliability, scalability, and alignment with business goals.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies in AI, automation, and analytics, and proactively recommend innovations to modernize global systems.
  • Collaborate with IT stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of automation tools with existing infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's level degree in STEM, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in transformation roles with a focus on automation and analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML platforms and data visualization tools.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent documentation and communications skills.
  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data manipulation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a flexible, fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and systems (SAP, Oracle preferred).
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed. This position is anticipated to travel less than 5% domestically and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Semiconductor manufacturing industry experience is preferred.
  • Global business environments and large public company experience are preferable.
  • An MBA, MIS, or similar advanced degree or AI/automation certifications are a plus.
Location

Tempe, AZ. This position has a hybrid schedule. Candidates must reside near the local Amkor office or be willing to relocate to be considered.
