Grade 5 English and French Preparation. LTO at 67%.

  • French qualifications.
Additional Information
  • Must be a member in good standing or in process of becoming Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) qualified prior to start date; must be enrolled or have completed French as a Second Language (FSL) or equivalent, based on OCT qualifications.
  • External candidates must provide at least three professional, supervisory teaching references in the online application screening section. We do not contact references before practicum/interview.
  • Internal YRDSB employees must include all previous teaching experiences and provide two references, one of which must be a YRDSB administrator.
  • French Immersion position – candidates must meet the Board's language standard for French Immersion.
  • All candidates must provide a satisfactory police record check and Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) within six months prior to start date, as instructed by the Board.
Examples of Referees
  • Principal/Vice Principal who can speak to your teaching practice.
  • Faculty Advisor/Coordinator or Practicum Advisor who has observed and evaluated your teaching practice.
  • Host/Mentor Teacher who can speak to your teaching practice in an elementary/secondary setting.
  • Professional reference who can speak to your teaching practice.
