The individual must be passionate about, and or interested in learning and implementing Waldorf pedagogy. In-house mentoring is also provided. Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Education Degree
  • Must have a current Alberta Teaching Certificate

  • Experience or interest in teaching music or art is an asset
  • Waldorf knowledge and experience is preferred, however training is also available.
Salary and Benefits
  • The starting salary $60,000 + per year for full-time role, commensurate with experience and additional training.
  • Employees working 0.5 FTE or greater are eligible for the WESE Employee Health Benefits Program.
Hours and Length of Year
  • Classroom contact hours are from 8:00 AM- 4:00 AM, 5 days a week.
  • Classes run September to June.
Responsibilities
  • Providing reports for parents during parent-teacher interviews
  • Attend faculty/committee meetings, school events, seasonal fairs, and in-service training as required
  • Ensure that all Equivalent Learning Outcome documentation is up to date as required by Alberta Education
