Progesys Inc. is a recognized firm offering complete solutions for project management and transition to operations. The company has been based in Laval (Canada) since 2002 and has offices in the United States, the Middle East, Asia, and in South America.

Progesys is looking for an Electrical Planner to join our team. The Electrical Planner is responsible for planning, coordinating, and tracking all electrical work—including capital projects, maintenance, and support activities. This role ensures accurate work order management in Oracle CMMS, supports materials procurement, and facilitates communication across technical and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, scope, prioritize, and process electrical work requests.
  • Create, update, and monitor work orders for corrective, capital, and project work.
  • Track work order progress, maintain backlog accuracy, and update KPIs.
  • Ensure asset histories, job plans, and documentation are accurate in CMMS.
  • Coordinate with Electrical, Mechanical, and I&C teams for job planning and execution.
  • Communicate with Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to align schedules and priorities.
  • Support scope validation and field walkdowns as needed.
  • Initiate RFQs and purchase requests; track vendor shipments and material readiness.
  • Resolve material availability issues in collaboration with Procurement and Stores.
  • Maintain CMMS data reflecting changes in systems, equipment, or workflows.
  • Act as a liaison for project-related electrical activities across departments.
Requirements
  • Degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical planning and maintenance
  • In-depth knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance processes
  • Advanced project management skills and proficiency with planning software (e.g., Oracle CMMS, SAP PM, Microsoft Project)
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work in rotation schedules (14/14) and remote (camp) environments.
