Our client, a leader in data infrastructure and technology support, is seeking a Data Center Technical Operations Engineer to join their team. As a Data Center Technical Operations Engineer, you will be part of the Facilities Operations team supporting critical infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and proactive communication, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Electrical and Mechanical Engineer – Data Center Technical Operations Engineer
Location: New Carlisle, IN
Contract Length: 6‑24 Month Contract
Pay Range: Target pay rate is $32 per hour

What's the Job?
  • Manage on‑site operations of shift technicians, senior technicians, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring adherence to established procedures.
  • Establish performance benchmarks, analyze operational data, and prepare comprehensive reports on facility performance and maintenance.
  • Coordinate with IT managers and business leaders to manage capacity, optimize safety, and improve system performance and reliability.
  • Operate and oversee critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, cooling equipment, and building monitoring systems, handling both routine and emergency services.
  • Assist in designing and building out new facilities and projects aimed at increasing efficiency and operational excellence.
What's Needed?
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Technical (Military/Trade School) Degree with relevant experience.
  • 0‑2 years of work experience in data center operations or engineering.
  • 0‑2 years of management experience overseeing technical teams or operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational abilities with a keen eye for detail.
