Our scope: new electric locomotives, train control systems, network electrification, signalling, telecommunications and digital systems, and much more.

Purpose of the job

This position is mainly on construction site (60%-80%) with an administrative portion (40%‑20%).

You will ensure compliance with EHS rules on the site for both Alstom employees and Alstom contractors for testing & commissioning phases on equipment and trains. You will work closely with the permit offices, the supervisors assigned to the contractors/employees, employees/contractors and the prime contractor.

  • Inspections and monitoring on site

  • Qualification of contractor EHS documentation and monitoring
  • Emergency measures and first aid
  • Has full authority and must stop any operational activity resulting in immediate high risk to people or the environment

Educational requirements

University EHS

  • Health & safety qualification recognized by the enforcing authorities in the country of operation (when required)
Mandatory
  • Experience between 2 and 5 years in Environment, Health & Safety

  • Experience in projects, an asset
  • Experience in railway, an asset
