A local educational services provider is seeking an Early Childhood Educator at Edgehill YMCA Child Care in Powell River. The role involves providing quality care, building positive relationships with children and families, and creating a safe and engaging environment. Candidates must have a recognized ECE certification and strong communication skills. Location: Edgehill YMCA Child Care (7312 Abbotsford St, Powell River, BC V8A 2G5)
Schedule: Monday - Friday rotating shifts between the hours of 7:45am to 5:15pm
Salary Or Wage: $30.19 per hour for ECE License ((Includes $6 per hour Provincial Wage Enhancement Program)
Start Date: As soon as possible

Early childhood educators (ECE, ECE-IT/SN) at the YMCA ensure a safe and engaging environment for all children. By adhering to the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum, they design, and lead activities tailored to the interests and developmental stages of the children in their care. These educators also cultivate and maintain strong, positive relationships with parents, fellow educators, and community partners to deliver high-quality childcare within the communities we serve.
