Overview

Dayhome Friends Care offers a balance of Montessori and play-based learning program in a prepared environment. It is a licensed facility to care children from 1-12 years old. It provides individualized care and education that promotes the development of the whole child. We are expanding and looking for an experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and caring for young children and be able to create a safe and nurturing learning environment. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of early childhood development and be able to develop age-appropriate activities and Montessori lessons that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Applicants must have an ECE License to Practice in BC.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement learning activities that are age-appropriate and tailored to the needs of the children.
  • Prepare the learning environment.
  • Communicate with parents and colleagues regularly.
  • Possess a keen understanding of Licensing Regulations.
  • Develop positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
