Job description

Working with the photo studio team in Quebec, the photo technician will collaborate closely with stylists, photo supervisors, and art directors. The photo technician's role will involve alternating tasks between photo production work and computer-based photo technician tasks for studio shoots. The photo technician will be responsible for approving all images created with various suppliers, sharing tasks by retouching various image files across all departments and which respects the Simons image. The photo technician will ensure the development and execution of photo standards for products presented on the website.

Key Responsabilities

  • Ensure that the product is presented effectively in image approvals, during shoot selections, and in product retouching.
  • Perform maintenance on computers and photo equipment and ensure their upkeep.
  • Send retouched files and annotations for each photo to the relevant teams.
  • Retouch photos across all departments on a daily basis.
  • Create various documents to reflect the evolution of our standards.
  • Be involved in the various developments of the photo studio, including artificial intelligence.

Desired Profile

  • Possess two (2) to three (3) years of professional experience in the field of photography.
  • Hold training in photography, graphic design and visual communication.
  • In-depth knowledge of Photoshop and Excel.
  • Knowledge of Capture One is an asset.
  • Knowledge of photography and lighting.
  • Experience working in a Mac environment.
  • Able to communicate effectively in both French and English to interact with various departments.
