Job summary

A regional transportation company in Vernon, Canada, is seeking a Truck Driver to manage transportation tasks, customer responses, and vehicle maintenance. This role requires operational knowledge of heavy vehicles (Class 3 Licence) and excellent communication skills. The job requires physical presence on site without remote options.

Qualifications

• Experience an asset.
• Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles) required.
• Air Brake (Z) Endorsement is essential.

Responsibilities

• Address customers' complaints or concerns.
• Load and unload goods.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Pay and receive payments for goods.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
