Job summary

A leading community living organization in Sherwood Park, Alberta is looking for a Driver. You will transport residents to various activities and ensure their safety and comfort. Ideal candidates should have a valid Class 4 driver’s license and possess strong communication skills. Experience in customer service is beneficial. The role involves maintaining the vehicle and assisting residents during outings. This position emphasizes a resident-centered approach, focusing on high service quality.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Class 4 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a driver.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in customer service is an asset.
  • Familiar with bus safety procedures and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Transport residents to scheduled activities and destinations.
  • Assist residents safely when boarding and exiting the vehicle.
  • Operate the vehicle safely and in compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain the bus, including fuel and cleanliness.
  • Perform duties during resident outings.

Responsibilities
  • Transporting residents to scheduled activities and other scheduled destinations as applicable
  • Assists residents during boarding and exiting the vehicle, and when they cross the street when the vehicle is stopped to ensure their safety.
  • Operates the vehicle safely and in compliance with traffic laws, organizational policies, and licensing requirements.
  • Ensuring the maintenance of the bus such filling the gas tank and windshield washer fluid, checking tire pressure, checking the oil.
  • Ensures vehicles are regularly cleaned and sanitized, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
  • all related tasks during resident outings to ensure the continuity and the quality of the services.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
