Job description

We are looking for those interested in a part‑time, entry level sales and marketing position doing door to door marketing for Scholars Edge Painting. You will be working in the Cordova Bay and Royal Oak neighborhoods.

The Job:

• You will be introducing people to the painting services.
• You will engage and build relationships with potential clients.
• Using objection handling to understand people’s needs.
• Track leads and have weekly progress meetings.
• Distribute marketing materials (Flyers, door‑hangers and business cards).
• Schedule estimates for the sales team.
• Represent the company with a professional and positive attitude (You are the first impression of the company to the people you meet).

Compensation plan:

During your first 2‑3 training shifts, you will be paid at $18 an hour with $5 commission for every lead that completes an estimate. Following completion of training, you will be paid at $20 an hour with $10 commission for every lead that completes an estimate.

Someone with strong communication skills, and enjoys making connections, likes working outdoors, is self‑motivated, goal‑oriented and reliable. Able to work well independently, someone looking for a stepping stone into sales. Speaks clearly and is able to represent the brand professionally. Motivated to work under an hourly and bonus compensation. Understanding the bonus structure because it can make you very successful. You will be an essential part of our brand awareness expansion and in the growth of customer base.

Your Responsibilities in this role:

Marketing for 3‑10 hours weekly (To start) - options for marketing shifts include 2/3 hour weekday shifts, and 3/4 hour weekend shifts. You will be knocking on doors, introducing yourself and the company, and soliciting business with residents of Cordova Bay and Royal Oak. You will schedule estimates at the door on a shared google calendar and collect client names, phone numbers, emails and addresses. You will also be objection handling at the door.
